Who Would You Take?

Everyday all over the world people are arguing over Kobe, Lebron, Durant, and other NBA players. Who’s better, who’s the best, and who’s having a better season are usually the topics that are discussed. So I decided to put a scenario out there and I am interested to hear the response from all of our basketball fans.

If every NBA player in the league today was thrown into a draft and you were the general manger of an NBA team who had the 1st pick, who would you take? and why?

If i’m faced with this scenario i’m taking Kevin Durant. The fact that he’s such a pure shooter, extremely talented, still getting better and young are all my reasons to do so. I’m sure others will disagree.

So if you have that 1st overall pick, who are you taking?

I think Lebron is the obvious choice. He get’s everybody involved, and is a freak of nature physically.

@Ro I can’t deny LBJ’s talent but If i’m starting a franchise tomorrow I’m rolling with KD he’s only 23 years old (4years younger than LeBron) and he’s been improving every season. And technically LeBron still hasn’t won anything.

@Lason What the F@ck are you talking about? (Kanye West Voice) did you read the article it has nothing to do with the all star game lol

Durant RIGHT now! He is a KILLER…straight scorer! NOT AFRAID of that BIG shot and the downfall that comes with missing that BIG shot! Mental aspect is the biggest part of basketball!! If ur not mentally tough, u might as well hang it up!! Durant is gonna surpass lebron SOON! The argument right now is kobe n bron, but when kobe hangs it up(or maybe before) durant will be the BEST player/scorer in the league!

LBJ all day. Most dominant player in the league.
Not only is he a great scorer, but he can distribute the ball much better then Kobe/Durant, and make his team/players better. When speaking of LBJ, its also hard not to mention his Defensive tenacity…the dude is a beast.
I would also pick LBJ for his monetary value for the franchise…He would make so much money for you and your city.
Kobe….most dominating player, currently playing of my era…
Durant…Can’t deny his talent. Potential is through the roof…just not on LBJ level yet…However, as a GM, presently, I would pick Durant over Kobe.
Yes Kobe maybe be leading the league in scoring…but dude don’t pass the ball for shit lol

I’d have to go with Lebron. He’s still in the twilight of his career and will continue to get hungrier as the years go by, especially if the ring contines to elude him. KD is more fragile than LBJ from a physical standpoint and does not distibute the ball as well as Lebron. Kobe, as good as he is, is a pure scorer nearing the end of his career.

i would take Kobe hands down over lbj/durant cause kobe is still the best scorer in the game and most knowlegable still and he is never afraid to take the big shot when the time comes . lbj and durant are physically great players and very athletic but they are not all there on the mental side of thinmgs and thats what you need to take you game to the next level and to win chapionships .everyone still says how lbj is this and lbj is that but still the only player to dissapear in the playoffs and i would take durant over lbj too cause hes at the point in his career that he knows how to the leader and is not affraid of that last shot but at the end of the day im taking kobe even if he is comming to the end of his prime he still has the game mastered and alot of records and hardware to back that up . so i take Kobe hands down

Let’s make this real easy. If you were playing NBA Live, and decided to create a player….you would make LeBron.

Kobe and Durrant have far more gaps in their game than LBJ has shown. Over the past few years, LeBron has taken serious steps in a positive direction in terms to his overall presence on the court. If this was a few years back…(I hate to admit it) I would say Kobe. But if we’re talking today – LBJ has become the most dominating player in the league – hands down.

Kobe is on his way out. He’s had a great career with great teams.

Durant is on the up and up. He’s a young kid who has potential to do VERY big things.

LBJ is at the top of the ladder. His stat line is ridiculous. His team is #2 in the east. And the scary thing is…he’s getting better…

It has to be LBJ. How many teams have Kobe and Durant taken to the finals without another star on their team? LBJ’s cavs did get dominated by the spurs that year but he got there. Kobe’s shitty down years for the lakers still had better players than the cavs the year the cavs made the final but kobe struggled to get them in the playoffs. Ever year LBJ is in the league and made the playoffs, his teams are always ranked top 5 in the league EVERY year. Kobe and Durant could get you 50-60 a game with 4-5 reb, 4-5 ast, 1-2 stl, and 0.5 blocks but LBJ could get you 50-60 a game plus 10 reb, 10 ast, 3 stl, and 2 blocks and he’ll get for you at 57% from the field. Give LBJ a Shaq like center or a big man combo of pau gasol and andrew bynum and LBJ is in the finals every year because in order to consistently win titles you need an all star caliber center and Lebron has never played with one. (Shaq at the end of his career doesn’t count and Bosh plays the 4 so he doesn’t count)

This is a no-brainer, you take Kevin Durant. He is the most electric threat on the floor, a player who wants to take the last shot and he is the youngest.
There has been a lot of love shown to LBJ but let’s be honest he disappears down the stretch – How quickly everyone forgets about last year. There is no question he is an undeniable talent and phenom. But I want a guy who is a scorer – that’s what you base your franchise on.If there was a guy like Shaq (In his prime and young) – a true dominant center in this discussion every single person and current GM in the NBA would take Shaq. The bottom line is you take the biggest scoring threat and you take the guy with the killer instinct. Kobe is past his prime, LBJ is a million dollar move and a ten cent finish – He needs to deliver a Championship this year otherwise people start looking long and hard at his place in NBA history.

Sports Illustrated recently asked 137 NBA players who they would choose to base their Franchise around.
LBJ won this by a mile…This was just televised on SportsNetwork.
Players like Michael Redd, and Gilbert Arenas were both major scoring threats and loved taking the final shot….but they will never make a concrete impression on NBA History.
    LBJ all day baby! lol

LBJ hands down, Kobe is the best one on one player in the game.( dude scores by any means) Durant, is great all round player but assist numbers dont lie.
Because its 1st overall and im looking to build a team, ID START WITH THE BEST TEAM PLAYER IN THE GAME LBJ.
